The son of “The Real Housewives of Miami” star Alexia Echevarria, Peter Rosello, was arrested after he allegedly slapped and kicked his girlfriend in a marital argument on Thursday, Page Six learned in exclusivity.
A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department told us the argument started when the couple – who have been dating for about three months – arrived at the Miami apartment, where they were living together, after a night out.
The anonymous victim told Rosello, 29, that she wanted to stay with his mother instead, which “shocked” Echevarria’s son, according to a police report.
The girlfriend alleged that Rosello placed her hand on her neck and pushed her back, so she slapped his hand on his neck.
“The accused then brought the victim to his knees at the crotch, causing her to fall to the ground,” according to the report. “The accused then kicked the victim while she was on the ground.”
The girlfriend tried to escape by running through the front door, but Rosello allegedly “grabbed the victim by the arm and brought her back inside the apartment,” police said.
The report says the woman then attempted to run away a second time and started screaming, which caught the attention of a neighbor, who is listed as a witness to the incident.
The witness told police that he saw Rosello “pulling the victim inside the apartment as she tried to break free from its grip”.
The neighbor brought the girlfriend to their apartment and then called the police, according to the report.
The young woman seemed “in distress” and presented visible redness on the level of the face and the neck, as well as pain in the crotch. She was treated on the spot.
Rosello was booked at 2 a.m. Thursday and charged with a battery misdemeanor. His bail was set at $ 1,500 and at the time of publication he was still in jail.
This is not the first time Rosello has been in trouble with the law.
In 2012, he was arrested for assaulting a homeless man. He pleaded guilty and made a deal to keep him out of jail. Then, in 2013, he was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Rosello is featured alongside his mother in the fourth season of “RHOM,” which is currently on NBC’s Peacock streaming service.
Part of Echevarria’s story on the show is that Rosello doesn’t get along with her husband Todd Nepola.
A rep for the reality TV star did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment, nor did Rosello when we asked for comment.
Echevarria shares Rosello with her ex-husband and drug lord Pedro “Peggy” Rosello. She also has a younger son, Frankie Rosello, from this marriage.
